Looking into the future the Pelican feeding its young from a self-induced wound in its own breast (as depicted, mysteriously, on the state flag of Louisiana) is accepted as an appropriate symbol of both self-sacrifice and rebirth. Through his selfless efforts, man is raised from the slavery of ignorance to the condition of freedom conferred by wisdom. Given the current state of affairs in Louisiana, one hopes that the understanding of the Pelican as a symbol shall point the way towards a new consciousness of ourselves as a whole, and lead us to face our futures with strength, grace, wisdom and faith, to learn from our mistakes and carry our successes and zest for living to future generations.

RE: Deadly Oil Spill in Breton Sound Kills 400 Pelicans and Oils 1,000 more.

Dear Senator Landrieu:

Enclosed is the New Orleans Times Picayune, June 15, 2005 article reporting the above captioned. Your coastal aid bill promoting more oil coastal drilling only increases the inevitability that more pelicans and wildlife will be killed in large numbers by the oil industry. Your vote to drill in our Arctic Wildlife Refuge Center will also result in the countless deaths of more wild creatures and loss of our economic natural resources.

Your promotion of the nuclear industry, limiting their liability, unfortunately, could result in the destruction of millions of human lives, and thousands of billions of dollars in property damage. Isn’t it time for you to reconsider your promotion of these toxic industries that have wreaked such havoc upon our planet? Isn’t it time to reconsider your war monger support of the Bush False Flag Oil Wars? As more and more documented evidence of Dick Cheney, operating the command center at Tower 7 blasts in. As more documented evidence surfaces that Rumsfeld and other neo cons operated 9.11 to kill our American Troops in Mid-East Oil Fields – Halliburton-Enron-ad nauseam!

Isn’t it time to take the Downing memo and begin impeachment proceeding for lying to Congress to kill poor Louisiana soldiers for oil profits?

Isn’t it time, Senator Mary Landrieu, that you begin to be a Democrat, rather than another Louisiana politician selling out to same old oil-gas-Bennett Johnston pay offs?

Do Your Job! Be a Democrat. Better yet, be a Decent Human being – American. Stop this madness of killing our American boys for oil profits.
